1. Why have people decided to Occupy Wall Street, and other financial areas in major cities the world over?
People have occupied Wall Street and other financial areas for equality and justice. People like us aren’t getting fair advantages and losing jobs because of financial crises, in which their wealth is controlled by the government. They want financial equality just like the 1%. Hundreds of people are protesting in Wall Street to protest this fact. One protester even quoted “The government is gambling with our futures.” They want financial equality and justice for their freedom.
2. Who might oppose those who are occupying Wall Street or demonstrating? Why are they opposing them?
To simply put it, the wealthy would likely oppose those who are occupying Wall Street. People are protesting the fact of financial inequality for them, the middle class, because they do not get the same opportunities as the upper class. The wealthy would oppose because they gain from the way it is now. Politicians are also likely to oppose this fact because the people are protesting of their voices not being heard by them, and it makes them look as if they are greedy for power other than to be helping their people.
